Applications are invited for a part time position for a Safer Sport Coordinator with Sports Medicine Australia (SA Branch). The Safer Sport Coordinator reports to the Manager of Industry Partnerships and Education (Manager of IP&E) and is responsible for the day to day running of the Safer Sport Program (SSP). The purpose of this position is to grow and increase the accessibility of the SSP throughout South Australia. The role is also responsible for the coordinating and marketing of the Sports Injury Management Services and assisting with course facilitation. The Safer Sport Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of volunteers and casual staff for SSP roles under the direction of the Manager of IP&E. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal History / Police Check. Golf SA is the peak body responsible for development of amateur golf in South Australia from grassroots participation, through to club membership and golfing pathways to the elite level. We are seeking a Business/Finance Manager who can provide exceptional financial management and general administrative services to our Association. A critical part of the role is the management of Golf SA’s finances including transaction processing, account follow-up, e-banking, staff salaries, preparation of financial and membership reports. Other parts of the role vary from the general management of the Office function, initial contact with the membership, coordination of the Golf SA e-Newsletter, maintenance of the Association’s contact database and coordination of golf specific tasks such as the Club Rules Accreditation training and Course Rating & Handicapping programs. The role requires a ‘hands-on’ customer service approach to deal with the Association’s 220 member golf clubs and approximately 28,000 individual members as well as general public inquiries. Formal qualifications in financial management and/or accounting are essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate advanced MYOB skills and use of the Microsoft Office suite of products. Knowledge of the game of golf and an interest in sport whilst desirable is not a pre-requisite. The position offered is negotiable between FTE 0.8 & 1.0. An attractive salary package to secure the right person is offered.
