Partnering (auspice) with Sport SA

Sport SA recognises that Vocational education and training (VET) in Schools programs are integral to helping students achieve their goals and transition from school to further education, training and employment. Sport SA will continue to maintain strong partnerships with schools through VET in Schools Agreements, Training Guarantee for SACE Students (TGSS), Australian School Based Apprenticeships, VET for Schools courses and other delivery/assessment models that support the VET in Schools strategic purpose.

Sport SA is keen to work with schools to promote pathways to further training and employment through VET in Schools Agreements. A VET in Schools Agreement is a negotiated agreement where qualified teachers deliver and assess nationally recognised training within the school environment in partnership with Sport SA.

A VET in Schools agreement sets out the manner in which delivery and assessment will occur, the qualification and the units of competency within this. As a registered training organisation, Sport SA must adhere to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Standards and schools must also adhere to the same ASQA Standards that provide rules and restrictions and set out requirements regarding facilities, equipment, personnel and various other points.

Registered teachers must meet the Training and Assessment (TAE40116) requirements. Additionally, National Training Packages require delivery and assessment personnel in all registered training organisations to have attained various industry qualifications and experience. Therefore, schools working in partnership with Sport SA under a VET in Schools Agreement must also satisfy these requirements. The qualification and experience requirements differ according to the specific training package.

Sport SA offers a wide range of qualifications that can be delivered as part of a VET in Schools program. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. today with your enquiry.
