Holden Home Ground Advantage

Holden started the Home Ground Advantage program in 2014 to help grassroots sport grow.

Their 2018 winter round will provide grants to sporting clubs who embrace and promote the participation of girls.  If your sporting club is looking for funding for projects like facility upgrades, new uniforms or equipment to enable more girls to get involved, Holden Home Ground Advantage want to hear from you.

SA Healthy Towns Challenge

The SA Healthy Towns Challenge is a grants program for rural towns to develop and implement programs within their community, which will have measurable and immediate benefits to the community's health and wellbeing.

Grants of up to $50,000 each will be provided to five towns (or groups of towns) within the Country Health SA Local Health Network region each year for four years.

Grants SA

Grants SA provides over $3 million in grants annually to community organisations to improve community participation, wellbeing and quality of life for South Australians, particularly those who are experiencing disadvantage.

Through Grants SA, three one-off grant programs, the Charitable and Social Welfare Fund (Community Benefit SA), Multicultural Grants and Volunteer Grants, have been combined into a single application process.

The Recreation and Sport Grants Program provides funding to eligible clubs, organisations, programs and events that reside or take place within the boundaries of the City of Adelaide across four categories:

The Office for Recreation and Sport has funding programs available to help organisations and individuals to provide high quality active recreation and sport facilities, programs and activities. Funding inludes:

SASI Scholarships for Athletes

SASI provides services and support to talented and high performance athletes and coaches who are committed to taking their ability to the highest national and international levels.

Club One - Small Sponsorships - NOW OPEN

Club One's small sponsorship's are considered every one to two months, and announced regularly throughout the year. Small sponsorships are to a maximum of $500, although in special circumstances can be as high as $600.

Clubs SA

Through Clubs SA there are many streams of funding available for the not-for-profit sector, including Clubs.Before applying for any stream of funding it is recommended that you contact Clubs SA for further details and assistance on the application process. Each stream of funding has different requirements, and is set up to support different types of projects. Clubs SA encourages all applicants to fill out the submission forms correctly to ensure all criteria is met.

Australian Sports Commission - Grants and scholarships

There are a number of opportunities for funding available for individuals and organisations through the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), including:

  • National Coaching Scholarship program
  • National Officiating Scholarship program
  • Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women - NOW OPEN

Australian Sports Foundation

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for projects that will increase participation and accessibility to sport for youth aged 16 years and under. Projects can be anything sport related, for example the purchase of sporting equipment, sports development initiatives or clinics.

Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation

The key aim of the Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation is to develop better, healthier children and better, healthier communities – to prove that access to sport for children can make a difference.The way we will achieve this aim is to work with groups in disadvantaged communities to identify facilities that need revitalizing – bringing back to life.

Australian Scholarship Foundation

ASF has negotiated with accredited education and training providers across Australia to provide free or discounted executive management, mentoring and training programs in a range of management disciplines to directors and staff of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations. These providers include universities, for-profit colleges, professional services associations and businesses with in-house education and training programs. In many cases the access to such courses is at little or no marginal cost to the providers and offers them a low cost opportunity for expanding their community involvement.

The Commonwealth Bank believes it’s important to support cricket at all levels, which is why they’re not only supporting the Australian Men’s and Women’s Teams, they’re also continuing to support local cricket clubs.

Telstra Kids Fund

Each year, Telstra Kids gives a million dollars in $1,200 grants to local non-profit groups that help kids to play and learn. Telstra Kids supports school veggie gardens, bouncing balls for sports clubs, books for bubs in childcare, just to name a few. It funds thousands of local, grassroots community activities that sprout up across Australia in response to local needs. At the heart of Telstra Kids is a Telstra employee... an individual who tells us where the dollars should be donated... and gets a chance to feel like a million bucks, by investing just a few minutes to fill in this online application.

Clubs SA / IGC Sponsorship Assistance Program

Together with the Independent Gaming Corporation (IGC), Clubs SA invites non gaming Clubs and community organisations to apply for Project Grants via its Sponsorship Assistance Program.

In recent years, over $2,000,000 has been directed back to the wider South Australian community under the auspices of the Sponsorship Assistance Program to support projects that include resurfacing of sports grounds, lighting, charity projects, community awareness campaigns and many more.

Applications for this Funding Program are accepted each month and are vetted by Clubs SA's Board before recommendations are passed on to the IGC Board.
