SIS50612 Diploma of Sport Development

If your passion lies in running competitions or developing sporting potential, then studying a Diploma of Sport Development (SIS50612) is perfect for you. It doesn’t matter if you are currently working in the sports industry or looking to begin a new career, as this industry recognised qualification will help make your next career move a successful one.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual intending to pursue a career in sport development and coaching. Once you have become qualified you could find yourself working as a sport development officer for a national sporting body, a competition manager or a talent identification manager. SIS50115 Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management

Sport SA’s Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management is a new management course tailored specifically to the needs of the Sport and Recreation Industry.

Are you ready to take your career to the next level?

The course gives you the flexibility to study in a self-paced environment. Sport SA offer monthly tutorial sessions which are aimed to equip you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to complete each unit. You’ll gain specialist knowledge and skills in management, tailored to the sport and recreation industry.

If you’re looking for a foot in the door or a step up in your current Sport and Recreation career, this is the course for you. The course will give you the ability to work at management level in major sport and recreation venues including State Sporting Organisations, fitness centres, outdoor sporting complexes or aquatic centres.

Qualifications delivered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Sport SA offers RPL to students with current skills and knowledge in industry who wish to recieve recognition. This is done through a structured process which involves providing Sport SA with appropriate evidence of competence. This can be done through a portfolio, workplace testimonials and references, practical demostrations, prior education evidence, third party evidence and participating in an interview process with your assessor.
